LumiCon controller setup

4x3 Micro

A smaller LumiCon controller for essential Lumia Stream actions, with the same browser installer flow and Pico keypad update path.

Before you start

Check the browser, cable, and serial port first.

Use Chrome or Edge The browser installer needs Web Serial, HTTPS, or localhost.
Use a data cable Charge-only USB cables will power the board but will not expose the serial port.
Close serial tools Shut Arduino Serial Monitor and anything else that may already be using the port.
Hold Firmware Hold the inline Firmware button while flashing the main controller.

Main controller

Flash the ESP8266 with the Firmware button held down.

  1. Connect the main controller by USB.
  2. Find the red-and-black inline Firmware button between the Pico TX line and the ESP RX line.
  3. Hold the Firmware button, choose a firmware build below, then select the LumiCon serial device when your browser asks.
  4. Keep holding the Firmware button until the install has finished.
  5. Release the button and let the controller reboot.
  6. If flashing fails, unplug the 4x3 keypad and try the install again.
Erase device: use this for recovery or a clean reset. It can clear saved Wi-Fi settings and pet data.

How to flash the Pico

  1. Unplug the keypad board.
  2. Hold BOOTSEL while connecting USB.
  3. Open the temporary drive named RPI-RP2.
  4. Copy the downloaded .uf2 file onto that drive.
  5. The Pico copies the file, reboots, and disconnects automatically.
