Pulse Weaver Studio Terms of Service
Effective: 21 September 2026
Use Pulse Weaver for any lawful personal or commercial broadcast. You control your content; you are responsible for having the rights and permissions to use it.
1. Agreement
These terms apply to Pulse Weaver Studio and Pulse Weaver-operated connection services. By installing, accessing or using them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software or hosted services.
2. Broadcasts and your content
You may use Pulse Weaver for any lawful personal, creative, educational or commercial broadcast, recording or production. We do not claim ownership of your programmes, recordings, scenes, graphics or other content merely because you created or transmitted them with Pulse Weaver.
You are responsible for your content and conduct, including copyright, music and media licences, privacy notices and consents, advertising disclosures, platform rules, age restrictions and applicable law. Do not use Pulse Weaver to infringe rights, deceive or harass people, distribute malware, evade platform safeguards or conduct unlawful activity.
3. Software and open-source licences
Pulse Weaver is based on OBS Studio. Source code and included components are licensed under the licences supplied with them, including GPL-2.0-or-later where stated. Those licences—not these service terms—govern copying, modifying and distributing the corresponding code. These terms do not take away rights granted by an applicable open-source licence.
Your broadcast output is not placed under the Pulse Weaver software licence merely because you used the software to create it.
4. Pulse Weaver name and logo
The Pulse Weaver name, P logo and distinctive product branding are not granted for use as the identity of an unofficial project, fork, modified build, DIY product, service, merchandise or channel. You may truthfully say that you use Pulse Weaver and make legally permitted referential use.
Do not use the name or logo in a way that suggests Daryl Wickham sponsors, certifies or publishes your project. Distributions of modified software should remove Pulse Weaver branding unless written permission is given. This section does not restrict uses that the law permits without permission.
5. Accounts and third-party services
You are responsible for accounts and credentials you connect and for actions taken through them. Keep them secure and grant only permissions you understand. Third-party platforms, plugins, websites and services have their own terms and may change or stop their features.
When you use YouTube features, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke Google access from Google's permissions page.
6. Hosted services
The Kick relay and any future Pulse Weaver-operated service are supplied to support the desktop application. Do not probe, overload, interfere with or access another broadcaster's session or data. We may restrict abusive traffic or suspend access needed to protect the service, users or platforms.
Hosted features may be interrupted, changed or withdrawn. We will try to avoid unnecessary disruption but do not promise continuous availability or compatibility with every platform change.
7. Updates and backups
You are responsible for reviewing updates and keeping appropriate backups. Pulse Weaver's installer can create recovery archives, but no backup system is infallible. Backups can contain account information and should be kept private.
8. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pulse Weaver and its hosted services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without promises that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular production. Test important workflows before going live.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your mandatory consumer rights. Subject to that, Daryl Wickham is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost broadcasts, lost revenue, platform action or loss caused by third-party services.
9. Ending use and changes
You may stop using Pulse Weaver and disconnect accounts at any time. Provisions concerning licences, branding, responsibility, disclaimers and liability continue where their nature requires it.
These terms may be updated when the product, hosted services or law changes. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date and, where appropriate, communicated in the application or release notes.
10. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
